WhatsApp Launched for Blackberry !!

According to latest news, the WhatsApp has been launched for Blackberry 10 Operating System.
The news has been obtained from the Blackberry Blog, this updated app will support push notifications and also send alerts even when the phone is locked. It has many other features like:

• Contacts Integrations
• Contacts Scanning

WhatsApp Co-founder has said in a statement that:

"BlackBerry has been a great platform for WhatsApp for many years. Delivering WhatsApp on BlackBerry 10 devices is in line with our goals of ensuring that our customers around the world can continue to communicate with the most important people in their lives."

WhatsApp can be as an alternate of Blackberry Messenger App (BBM). It has been expected that this App will take an edge over Blackberry's Built in Messenger App which is introduced first time in  Black Berry Z10.

Blackberry OS 4.6 or above.
Blackberry Internet Service(BIS) or  BlackBerry Enterprise Service(BES)
