mobile phone use before going to bed.
Smartphones have become a powerful tool for information and communication. A recent study found that the use of smartphones in the evening before going to bed may cause temporary vision loss and sleep disorders.

It is a common habit in many of us. It is worth mentioning here that more than two billion people use smartphones worldwide. The average use is between 4 and 5 hours per day.

In the New England Journal of Medicine, doctors presented the cases of two women aged 22 and 40 who have suffered a "temporary blindness" for several months. Both patients observed temporary loss of vision for periods up to 15 minutes. They were exposed to a number of tests, including MRI and cardiograms.

The test results pointed out an alarming situation that it was caused by mobile phone usage. Small screens of mobiles can cause other problems as well such as blurred vision, headaches. Blue light screens can also lower the levels of melatonin and make falling asleep more difficult. It is advised bt neurologists that mobile phones should not be used before going to bed. With the enhancements in mobile phones hardware, it has become a key source of entertainment and social engagement.
